HH Intisar AlSabah will discuss her dream for peace in the Arab world by empowering women, particularly by tending to their emotional and psychological health. In 2018, she launched Intisar Foundation, a charity committed to healing and empowering One Million Arab Women from the invisible wounds of war through drama therapy and other support systems.

Women suffer the most during and after war. They are often left alone with the responsibility of caring for children and families, while maintaining the social fabric of their societies. Yet not enough attention has been paid to women’s mental health needs. HH Intisar AlSabah will discuss strategies for filling that void, thereby creating the potential for a healthier and more peaceful future.

HH Intisar AlSabah is a philanthropist, entrepreneur, author and columnist. She is the founder and editorial director of Lulua Publishing. In addition, HH Intisar is the founder of Alnowair, a non-profit organization committed to increasing wellbeing in Kuwait. Alnowair’s educational initiative is Bareec, a positive psychology program designed to generate positive emotions and increase levels of flourishing in university and secondary school students. HH Intisar AlSabah is a member of the royal AlSabah family of Kuwait.
