The agreement was signed on March 24, 2022, by HH Sheikha Intisar AlSabah, founder and Chairwoman of Intisar Foundation, and Dr. Michel Mawad, President of the Lebanese American University in Beirut.
The Lebanese American University is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE) and is committed to academic excellence, student-centeredness, civic engagement, the advancement of scholarship, the education of the whole person, and the formation of leaders in the global context.
As part of the agreement, Intisar Foundation will notify LAU Career Development Services when internship opportunities arise and select the students who will be given the information and resources they need to complete the internship in a way that is commensurate with their skills and knowledge.
Officially registered as a humanitarian organisation with the Charity Commission for England and Wales in 2019, Intisar Foundation is the first charitable organisation in the Middle East dedicated to providing psychological support programmes of drama therapy to Arab women affected by the brutality of war and violence.
