Fatma is an Egyptian visual artist with roots belonging to the south, the place where she feels most peaceful and safe. she lived most of her life in Cairo the wild old city that inspires her like nothing else. She studied Art, and exhibited her work in Cairo/Egypt, Berlin and Leipzig/Germany and Bochum/Germany, New York/USA and Kuwait.
She also published a limited edition art book called “Milk tea with mint”. She says “Art for me is therapy, a means to utter happiness and peace of mind. My soul has been rescued by the lovely little paws that keep running in the house and believe me there is a lot of them. Last but not least in a previous life I was a whale who loved to sing”
Officially registered as a humanitarian organisation with the Charity Commission for England and Wales in 2019, Intisar Foundation is the first charitable organisation in the Middle East dedicated to providing psychological support programmes of drama therapy to Arab women affected by the brutality of war and violence.
