Aya Khair

Aya Khair is a Syrian 38-year old painter-fashion designer, raised in a Damascus home where her collector father literally covered all the walls with Fateh Al Mudarress paintings. Her art teacher at the American Damascus Community High School encouraged and guided her first steps into the world of art.

Soon after her graduation, with an Arts Achievement award, she married and moved to Kuwait to make her own family and establish herself in a new country and
society. It was only after her two sons had grown past early childhood that she enrolled at the American University of Kuwait and got her BA in anthropology and psychology and spent her time and attention to painting.
