Mark Ghoussoub and Nabil Assaf, the creative minds behind the collective art project RAKT. Both ride between countries to meet people around the world. Every journey they make forms an AKT. As two cinematographers, they document stories of people have interacted with them. They listen to these people’s history and experiences about life, take their stories as a gift and photograph the moment at the exact location they meet with them. A photograph is gifted back in return to resemble the soul of the meeting.
As the journey continues the story itself keeps on growing. Every person they meet, that choses to include them into their lives becomes part of the project. Their purpose is to spread the good vibrations they receive from people and pass it on to others. To make them be heard through their collective art project.
RAKT projects appear in different forms of art according to its unique content. Photography, art installations, paintings and stencil arts, have all been used and sometimes mixed for better expression of the message. Mastering layering through photographs, each painting gets its unique Hand cut layer and colour palette inspired by the fusion of senses and impressions from one person to another.
