Description
Nature in art has traditionally carried female connotations through botanical symbolism. I aimed to engage with art history by creating my own version of the classical still life, merging European floral depiction with Oriental culture, and enriching it with personal and private visual references like the biscuit box linking warm memories of my childhood growing up in Lebanon in the 80’s, to darker references like civil war and displacement.
