Intisar Foundation Wins Two STEVIE® Awards

The Intisar Foundation scooped two awards at the 2021 Middle East & North Africa Stevie® Awards that aim to recognise innovation in all its forms.

The foundation was honoured as a GOLD STEVIE® WINNER: Innovative Growth Achievement Award and GOLD STEVIE® WINNER: Innovative Management in a Non-Profit Organisation.

The Middle East & North Africa Stevie Awards, sponsored by the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce & Industry, is an international business awards competition open to all organisations in 17 nations in the Middle East and North Africa.

The foundation was chosen among more than 400 nominations and received the highest ratings from more than 70 professionals whose votes determined the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Stevie Award winners.

“I am truly honoured that Intisar Foundation has been recognised as the most proactive and innovative foundation focused on supporting Arab women’s mental wellbeing, because it was only in 2017 that we learned, to my dismay, that no psychological support was being offered to Arab women affected by war and violence,” said HH Sheikha Intisar AlSabah, founder and Chairwoman, Intisar Foundation, the first charitable organisation to provide psychological support programmes of drama therapy to Arab women affected by war and violence.

“After just a few years, Intisar Foundation is today hailed for developing and introducing an innovative approach to the field of Peacebuilding that is rooted in enabling the psychological recovery and self-empowerment of Arab women traumatised by war and violence through the use of drama therapy. And our STEVIE® awards are a testament to that. I would like to thank all who voted for us, and also to congratulate all other winners of the Middle East & North Africa Stevie Awards 2021.”
